Au revoir 2011..Bonjour 2012....

2011 has been a whirlwind year for me, like the previous year and the years before....

Personal

I have moved back to my mom's place. She felt sick sometime in February and was bed ridden for about 4 months. I made this decision only because the wiser part in me said this is the right thing to do. Some kids don't have the chance to care for their parents because they're in the city and their folks are at kampung somewhere north or south etc.... and parents are very reluctant to be in a city... and here I am with this possibility to do some good deed, might as well do it while I can. Collecting some good points for my after life...I rented my apartment to a friend. I rather have someone I know than a stranger. At least the house is being utilized. Abandoned house is way too much to handle....

Family

Mom's recovering. She's way better than couple of months back. Sometimes I have to remind her about the food intake. Dad's Alzheimer is not getting any better, although I'm thankful that he can still shower and do business by himself. My youngest sister gave birth to her 3rd child just before Raya. It's a boy, Megat Zeke Rafael. My sister-in-law gave birth to another boy, their 4th child and his name is Mohamad Amir Hudzaifah. Eldest sister??? She's is her own world. I am still not able to forget the fact that she walked out on mommy at the time she needed her the most just to prove to us, her younger siblings, that we will not make it without her. But Allah is great. Ayu, Adoi and me, we made it through. It was not easy but united we stand. We manage to get a replacement maid. She's a blessing given by Allah....I really hope she will stay longer. As for my late brother's kids, we did not meet them even for raya this year... we are really growing apart :-( Just this morning my mom mentioned, to her, Abang is still around. Every time she sits at the garden facing the gate, she kept seeing the vision of him coming to see her. To her, her first baby boy is still around, close to her heart.

Siti's mother passed away on 23/11/2011. She battled her cancer for years. Went free from it for couple of years, it came back and this time it hit hard. Went I last saw her, i knew it was just a matter of time. When i met Siti that morning, I told her, I cannot imagine losing mommy now...The blessing in disguise out of this sadness, eldest sister decided to visit mommy and we somehow get to see Fahin more often.

Relationship

Not much improvement here... although i do received lots of junk emails from dating sites and fb, which i made an effort to reply and then delete as soon as i received the first response....sighhhh..... although i am not particularly disappointed by it, but then again i am only human... like a friend said, mas kau mesti la go out, meet people, make the effort....it seems like a mountain of effort to do socializing at this age. I just want to go home and snuggle.....

Career

Quite rough for the 1st half but it became better in the later part. For the latter, I thanked the 2 memos I received courtesy of my Assistance bitching about me to my Boss. Although I felt betrayed, i made it clear to them that I was not happy about how it went down and then thank them for making me a better leader... The Big Boss granted us including moi, an Ipad 2 - Thank you Boss.... We went to Melaka for a budget retreat. The easiest retreat ever as no presentation required.

I screwed my left knee in Casa Del Rio, Melaka during an inspection. Damn sakit ok! Was on crutches for 2 weeks. And there goes high heels for the rest of my life. I have resorted to wearing pumps nowadays.

Holidays

Sometime in April I went to Paris, Berlin, Prague and London. I was there when William and Kate got hitched! It was awesome to be back in London. No matter what people say or even londoners themselves, I love living in London, provided you're earning pounds! I will forever cherished my living experience there. This time, i went alone. Backpackers style! Stayed in friend's place.

Then in November I went to Bali! My first trip ever with another 2 girlfriends. It helps that they've been there before. I will probably go there every year... :-) not a bad place to go where language and food is not an issue.

Ouh and somewhere in between, I went to Penang with my fellow housekeepers. It was hilarious to travel with bunch of noisy housekeepers! We had great time and most importantly, good food moment!

Financial

I screwed up pretty bad. The euro trip really burn me.... So 2012 will be topping the funds back year.

Manchester United

We lost to the noisy neighbor's with a heart breaking scoreline. And Fergie celebrated his 70th birthday today with a 2-3 lost to Blackburn. What a way to end the year....The jinx was on me of course. MU seems to lose every match that I watched at the hotel...hmmm....

So cheers to 2012. May God bless us with glad tidings, better health and wealth surrounded by our loved ones.

Resolutions? I just want to be a better person spiritually and mentally.

I hEarT Bali.....

As far as I can recall I never had the urge for Bali. Although I love beach holidays, Bali was never in  my list of places to go. However, after my recent trip last week, I must say it's a happening place to go where you can choose to relax or party depending on your crowd goers... hence I will go there again.

I went with these 2 girls....

Eton & Yati...

For all the trips that I have made to Indonesia, I've always came back home like I had starved myself to death. I don't fancy their food apart from Nasi Padang and even this, after 3 days it will give me vertigo......hehehe

Back to my Bali trip....

We stayed, as i mentioned in my previous post, at Hard Rock Hotel Bali....it's in Kuta. Eton happen to have similar look of Luna Maya so we had a ball playing tricks to the men of Bali... teeheehee.....

The first day we got cheated on the car rental rate...but we were smarter afterwards. We got a way better rate and a lesser gatal driver. He was very oblige to all our request. Among us I was a first timer in Bali. Yati and Eton made sure that I get to do and went to places that they've been and like to do again, although some places was a one time visit thingy. Thanks girls!!! I appreciate it! :-)

I get to go to almost all popular areas in Bali, like Ubud, Uluwatu, Sanur and many more. We went to see the beautiful mount batur, Tanah Lot for the awesome sunset view, elevated rice paddy field, shop and shop and massage and massage and massage...I can never get enough of massage.

Of course the cream de la creme of all, was the visit to Four Season Resort in Ubud. It was breathtaking! It's good to have connection in high places. Yati fell in love with this place and have switch her wedding venue from Ayana to  here   .... although she has yet to decide who the groom might be....hehehee....

Speaking of Ayana, you must make your way here for sunset if you are ever in Bali. It's breathtaking! And when you are there, chillex at their Rock Bar..literally on huge rock! we have to take a mini lift for this.

I got the above pic from a friend... but below is snap from moi own BB camera... Check out the clarity of the water... it's just indescribable...

Next, I did the sea walking. It is to me, something new. I have not heard this in Malaysia yet. The 3 of us decided to do this although it burn a hole in our pocket. Cost us RM273.00 each!! Damn mahal occay!! I can get like twice full spa and massage...ishh..ishhh..ishhh... anyway, it was a cool thing to do, although if this was done somewhere in our east coast sea bed, it would be double whammy awesome! places like Lang Tengah, perhentian or Redang island would have made it all worthwhile.

What's sea walking?

It's where we have a guided tour of the sea bed not so far from the shore. Yes, we are walking, not snorkeling, not diving but walking. It's probably about 15feet in depth. We will take the ladder down from the boat with a huge helmet that weight 30kgs on our head! It does not feel that heavy though when you're in the water. Here' some pic of me with the helmet...

i feel like i'm one of them...hehehe

Here's the real me...We had to pay RM120 for this, 1 piece of CDR....sigh....

Ouh..we passed by Ketut's place in Ubud..I think... If you have watched Eat, Pray, Love.. you will know what i'm saying. Our driver said, Ketut use to give his service for free. But after EPL, and then the mat salleh started looking for him, he has since start charging some fees. So we abandoned our intention to konon find our SOULMATE from Ketut....

Here's 3 of us again against the beeeyootifool Gunung Berapi Batur...

And we went to a place where they made Luwak coffee. Luwak is Musang or Civet in english. Them beans comes out from its ass... would you dare to drink it? I had no appetite just thinking about it. And when i saw the bean and heard the process method from the guide, I can safely conclude that I will not drink this coffee ever....it's just eiuuwww.... Did i mentioned, that the bean is being washed twice with Sunlight?? The guide emphasized this word.."twice" twice....like it will make a different to me... hahahaha...

Ko berani???

In conclusion.... I HEART BALI and will go again someday...maybe a yearly trip who knows?? Stuffs are cheap, unlimited beautiful places, less than 3 hours flight...a perfect quick fix to De-stress holidays....what more can you ask for..... ;-)

Sports weekend - Sombre and happy mode...

A tragic death and loss for the Motor GP world....

Died at the age of 24 at Sepang race circuit...Ciao MaRCO...

Now the happy mode!

They won the Rugby World Cup 2011! All Black fans all over the world are still hakkaing!

And last but not least..... my most DEVASTATING moment.....absolute frustration.... :-(

We lost to the......

rich noisy neighbor....sighh.....

with this scoreline... :-( heartbreaking indeed....

I honestly felt it was easier to accept the fact of MU losing to Kopites or Gunners.... I have this thing about team in Blue..I can't stand Chelshit either....

And this man, he's furious tahap gaban!!!!

So the next team we're playing..beware and be very afraid...BELIEVE!!!!!

It ain't over till the fat lady sing, so they say...it's only 9 matches folks..not even half season...

and on the other extremely happy and looking forward mode....

i will be here soon!!!! like in couple of days....

c ya in BAAAALIIIIIII......................Bye bye folks!!!

and have a Happy Diwali....

I am resorting to the fact that I will be living back with my parents. Having said that, I am still holding on to my apartment which has the coziness of me...aaaaaaa....just thinking of it makes me smile.

Changing mom's house astro package to Astro Beyond Superpack is just confirming this long overdue fact. I am still in denial... I can't let go of my place because knowing that I have a place to run to when I need some "me time" makes me accept the fact that I have to live with my parents back...they're old and frail. And somehow the pressure is lesser.

Talking about home, this home particularly needs major housekeeping! I need to do more...sigh.... I recently got a personal session from the Boss..and this personal session, trust me..something I've been trying to avoid for the longest time. It was heart wrenching, frustrating or maybe I'm OTT about it...but that's me..I tend to take things much too serious...

For very bad tidings comes good things.

I am a better person now..I think...hehehehe...

It's the 16th day of Ramadhan and maybe this is a blessing after all....

Selamat Berpuasa semua....

2011 big holidays...

i have now finalized the logistics and bunking place for my upcoming trip...and now I have to just accumulate the bucks...and like fast!!!

this time it will be the backpackers style!

so it will be another whirlwind trip kul-par-ber-pra-par-lon-par-kul

and since around the time of the  Royal Wedding, I will be just across the channel so I've decided to just pop into Uncle Ben's land to have a feel of the moment.

it will be lotsa of trains and airplanes journeys, so I might as well just kick my ass to the gym sometime soon!
